To maintain appearance and improve durability, original paper dust jackets can be used to create a new hard cover. We adhere the dust jacket to Mylar, mount it onto boards, Mekanotch (Double Fan Glue) the book, and round and back the finished product.

A similar method can be applied to damaged dust jackets, whereby we scan and clean the original, remount to boards and, if necessary, typeset the new spine.
